Figure Skating in Detroit in partnership with Grand Valley State  University (GVSU) presents Summer Dreams 2026 at The School at Marygrove, (For rising grades 1-8) & Michigan Central (MC), (For Rising grades 9-10).

Summer Dreams 2026 is a FREE 5 week summer day program running (M-F) July 6, 2026 through August 7, 2026, 8:00am-3:00pm.  This summer includes reading and math instruction, Figure Skating, STEAM workshops, off-ice fitness, entrepreneur activities and field trips for all students rising grades 1-10.

Exclusive to the Rising 9th and 10th grade students at Michigan Central, GVSU will teach Design Thinking, Financial Literacy and Detroit Trio- College Prep classes.

Participants are expected to attend every day for the 5 weeks in order to benefit from the program.Each student must complete a pre test/ post test/ and surveys. Parents are required to complete data questions and submit by the end of week one. Excessive absence may result in dismissal from Summer Dreams programming. On time parent pickup is a must.

Participants will recieve a continental breakfast, healthy snacks and lunch each day. Please share if your student has allergy restrictions. WE ARE A NUT FREE Environment. Please adhere for the safety of all students and staff.

Transportation to rink site and field trips will be provided. All skate rentals are included.
