Figure Skating in Detroit
FSD helps girls transform their lives and grow in confidence, leadership and academic achievement. We are the only organization in the world for girls of color that combines the power of education with access to the artistic discipline of figure skating to build champions in life. Figure Skating in Detroit is the first affiliate modeled after the award winning organization, Figure Skating in Harlem, which has been recognized by the U.S. Olympic Committee, Beyond Sport and CNN Heroes.

Figure Skating in Detroit's signature program encourages academic engagement, opportunity advancement, social support, physical fitness, and leadership skills both on and off the ice.
GO FIT: Girls Off-ice Fitness Investment Training
Our comprehensive program for beginner to lower-level skaters. This year we welcomed 60 enrollees with 30% new participants who completed basic skating skills.
Illuminate Spring Showcase
Figure Skating in Detroit's 7th annual spring showcase boasted a sold-out opening night performance — a culmination of training, skills, and confidence achieved by the performers.
summer dreams day camp
Our 2024 Summer Dreams Day Camp, provided a four-week experience for xxx enrollees, ages 6-18 that endorsed STEAM exploration supported by our generous local area partners.
